MeMoves™ was built on a broad base of accepted research and countless studies supporting the use of rhythmic and visual patterns, music, movement and images, and the significant impact they have on the nervous system (click here to view MeMoves background paper and references). The culmination of over 5 years of meeting with clinicians, therapists, researchers and educators, and further distilled through extended observation in multiple settings, MeMoves’ ability to “calm the system” was established well before its release in January 2010. “..calming, transforming, unprecedented focus accomplishment, and magical…MeMoves is a treasure.”

MeMoves Improves Mirror Neuron Functioning in 5 year-old with ASD
Research supporting MeMoves’ use within the ASD population was presented in May 2010 at the International Meeting for Autism Research. Measuring brain waves, eye contact and imitative behavior over a 12 week period of 5 year–old with ASD, the purpose of the case study was to determine if MeMoves “is an efficacious supplementary therapy model to improve mirror neuron functioning and ultimately imitative and social functioning”. The conclusion: using MeMoves 5 minutes a day/5 days a week improved mirror neuron functioning and demonstrated a measurable increase in desired behavioral outcomes. Click below to view case study.

There are no completed empirical studies showing that MeMoves provides calm and focus to the general population, although it is being used successfully in a variety of settings.
