Thinking Moves LLC creates innovative multimedia products that transform the mind and body. The basis for the company's activities is the growing body of knowledge on the relationship between music, movement and mood.

Chris Bye

Chris Bye’s passion is helping individuals become aligned with who they are, and what they do. For the past four years, he has become a “student of students”, learning everything he can about the brain, how it works and how to apply current brain based research into daily best practices. As a featured speaker, he (along with Roberta) have presented at numerous conferences /seminars on the topics of integrating movement and music into the classroom, and reducing anxiety and depression in school aged kids. When not working on Thinking Moves, he also teaches at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He lives in Hudson, WI, and enjoys playing hockey, canoeing the Canadian wilderness, fly-fishing, golf and english setters.

Roberta Scherf

After Roberta Scherf successfully navigated a path out of the world of learning differences for her young daughter, she spent more than 10 years developing MeMoves. As a founder of Thinking Moves, she works to create tools that have successfully transformed classrooms and helped people of all ages struggling with anxiety and depression. Roberta lives in WI with her husband, children, dogs, chickens etc. She used to have hobbies but learning everything she can about music, movement and the brain is more interesting than anything else in the world.

Carol Donahue

Carol brings a unique perspective, in-depth knowledge, and extensive experience to Thinking Moves. As an educator, school counselor, and purveyor of educational solutions, Carol has worn many hats and worked with schools and organizations at all levels. Recently, Carol’s has leveraged her educational skills in the corporate world where she has held senior positions in global sales and marketing.

Carol is a graduate of Boston College, and she received her M.Ed. from Seattle University. Her graduate school research included topics such as a Family Systems Approach to Learning Disabilities, and Childhood Grief and Loss; and Creativity as a Healing Agent.

Carol is passionate about learning, and loves children. She’s mom to Marygrace whom she adopted from China in 2004.

Deb Barrows

Deborah D. Barrows, M. Ed. in Special Education and Technology Leadership.

Deb has worked as a K-8 Special Educator, K-5 Technology Specialist, Regional Coordinator in Maine for Project SEED, a Federal Innovative Challenge Grant, Bill and Melinda Gates Internet Trainer for Administrators, National Semiconductor's Global Connections Trainer, and creator of Training Modules for Maine's MLTI's 7th & 8th Grade one-to-one iBook Laptop Program. Deb and her students have won several educational awards: Technology Innovative Challenge Grants, ThinkQuest Jr., National Semiconductor Innovator Awards, International Schools CyberFair, Finalist for ACTEM Teacher of the Year, and co- authored, Using AAC Devices to Emulate Scanning for Computer Access with Clicker 5. For the past six years Deb has worked for educational software companies in sales and training in the US and Canada. Deb loves motivating parents and teachers to integrate technology into all aspects of their teaching as it changes the lives of children!

Allen Heidorn

Allen Heidorn has been designing cutting edge software for the past 13 years. Holding several patents in score following, Mr. Heidorn utilized his experience writing simulations for the Defense Industry during his tenure at Honeywell to develop the core technologies used in the SmartMusic line of products at MakeMusic.

Warren Sampson

Warren Sampson has spent the majority of his career in hardware and software Quality Assurance He created innovative test plans for a computer based music education tool, giving designers the means to measure the software in musical performance.

John Scherf

John Scherf is a musician, composer, engineer and producer with more than 20 years experience. His work is recognized nationally with more than 40 awards - including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Gold Award for Technical Achievement, and the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Journalism.

James Sewell

James Sewell is the Co-founder, Artistic Director, and Choreographer of James Sewell Ballet. Since 1982, James has choreographed more than 50 ballets, including nine for which he composed the music. The New York Times has described James as one of the most innovative choreographers working today.
